A bit about myself ...

Throughout the course of my education and project pursuits, I have been exposed to various computational concepts and tools which broadened my horizons as to the applications of Computer Science. As a result, I find myself taking every-day problems and searching for patterns and fundamentals that can be leveraged to derive computational solutions for streamlining every-day processes.

As you traverse my projects, you will find a plethora of programming languages and techniques utilized, ranging from server-side programming, to object-oriented applications, each examining a different issue. A recent endevour of mine has been to explore the facets of cloud computing, primarily through AWS. Subsequently, you will find a nice selection of web-applications to browse through.

Education

Thus far in my education, I have had the privilege of traversing various applications of Computer Science including database management systems, operating systems, bioinformatics, and software testing and development. However what stood out to me in each of these pursuits is the necessity for programs to be optimized in terms of their time and space complexities, security concerns, and other factors in lieu of their corresponding use-cases. For instance, paramaterizing SQL queries when working with scripting languages such as PHP to mitigate risks of injections, or utilizing techniques such as dynamic and greedy algorithms for efficiency in larger-scale processing. I have shifted from prioritizing merely functional code, to code that is meaningful to the context (i.e. meets efficiency and security standards), and continue to traverse the various mechanisms of narrowing down the best approach for a given computational problem. I actively look for opportunities to refine this lens of analyzing problems and developing critical solutions through personal projects and academic pursuits.

Employment

I have found myself building on my critical thinking and problem solving skills at each of my positions to date, regardless of their varying technical aspects. From devising the best path of solution in response to customer concerns, to strategizing a learning plan for students based on exhibited strengths, I find myself in a consistent state of analysis and subsequent action. Additionally, the wide range of environments and constraints in which these skills are exercised has equipped me with a resilient work-ethic, carefully curated to prosper in unique environments. Upon further reflection, I would conclude that my willingness to deliver meaningful solutions, even in non-technical environments, has reinforced my ability to curate efficient solutions in the computational scene. Positive consequences such as these motivate me to traverse a wide range of problems that require keenness in critical reasoning. I strive to pursue just this in my current position, and continue to refine these skills over the course of my technical career.
